Based on your selected interests, the Guide provides resources to planners, preparedness coordinators, and other personnel interested in identifying, engaging, communicating with, and providing services to vulnerable and at-risk populations during emergency events and disasters. These tips and resources include examples of PowerPoint presentations, training templates, questionnaires, and other references to support your planning and preparedness activities.

Use the filter options to select from a list of specific partner and populations types. To select more than one partner or population type, press the Control (Ctrl) key and click on the categories of interest. To view the full list, simply adjust the filter to "-Any-" to remove the current filter(s).

The Partners in Preparedness brochure is designed to encourage emergency management professionals to consider the varied needs of people with disabilities in all levels of their planning and response activities, and to actively involve members of this community in their efforts.

National Organization on Disability’s first emergency preparedness guide highlights key disability concerns for officials and experts responsible for emergency planning in their communities. The guide is also designed to help emergency managers, planners, and responders make the best use of resources to include all citizens of the community in emergency preparedness plans.

The American Red Cross has created this Disaster and Safety Library to assist you in preparing your home, school and workplace in the event of a disaster or emergency. Here you will find fact sheets, preparedness checklists, recovery guides and other helpful information to keep you informed and safe.
